The basic development process is outlined below:

SC9 Software client   emails outline of proposed site emails to confirm receipt, and to request some additional information emails additional information emails to confirm readiness to build proof of concept skeleton site, and to provide an estimate of development cost makes £12 payment via PayPal¹ designs and implements proof of concept reviews proof of concept and specifies changes (major changes at this stage could result in a second proof of concept which might require a small payment that would be refundable against the cost of the initial live site) offers to build the site for a fixed fee, provides key milestone dates at which progress may be reviewed emails acceptance, and makes non-refundable £12 payment via PayPal proceeds with development reviews progress   purchases domain name makes site available reviews site and specifies changes, purchases hosting facilities makes requested changes reviews site, makes payment via PayPal installs software on customer site uses/monitors site   requests minor changes makes requested changes, offers ongoing support agrees ongoing support and makes any necessary payment 1. only refundable during the first seven (7) days after payment, or if cancelled before SC9 Software have spent five (5) hours on the project. NOTES: If SC9 Software do not have an existing host site with all the required features, the client may be required to purchase the hosting facilities and domain name before work can progress beyond the proof of concept model. If we are providing the hosting environment: the client must pay for the hosting environment as well as the software before we make the site available for live use; the initial term, and any immediately following term, will be for a period of between twelve (12) and eighteen (18) months; any subsequent periods will be for twelve months. The client is responsible for the selection of the hosting site; We will do our best to advise on suitability but ultimately it will be the client's responsibility to provide an appropriate environment for our software; Therefore, if our recommended hosting site is not chosen, it is in the client's interest to make the hosting environment (including domain name) available early in the development process. If we agree to be responsible for renewal of a domain name: the annual fee will be payable either with the last environment fee paid prior to the domain expiry, or thirty (30) days prior to expiry; failure to make the payment may result in loss of the domain name.
